Hello and welcome!
If you are considering purchasing from Victoria's Designer Creations, I strongly suggest you read this blog first.
My purchase experience was unfortunately a very negative one. I ended up with broken products that arrived due to a complete lack of proper packaging. I was told many lies and excuses and was never compensated for the broken products I received, and much much more.
I have tried working things out with Vickie before going public to no avail.
Here is the full account of my transaction with Vickie Victoria Walk, the owner/operator of this small home business.

The email exchange that took place after she blocked me on Facebook:
Ooooh, she has spoken to an attorney already! I would love to see her evidence of all the slanderous things I've posted! I don't think I ever said she was insane, not 100% sure but I'll go back to the review threads to see. I will update this post once I have verified this.
My last response to her:
So this is the end of all our communications from beginning to end, nothing omitted.
The reasons for this blog are pretty clear and I hope you have enjoyed reading my epic VDC nightmare saga.
It would have never ever gone this far had Vickie done anything to make good on broken items, stopped lying and accepted responsibility for her mistakes. I don't know if she will ever understand that lying never brings anything good, only more troubles and is definitely not a good way to do business.
Last note: Beware of people who are shills for Vickie.
Donna Shearl entered the Wax Reviews forums to defend Vickie. She is affiliated to Vickie and VDC in some way as can be seen by the following picture:
Interesting tidbit don't you think? Her name is on the back of both clamshells with a number to call her for reorders.
hmmmm
I wouldn't be surprised if there were more shills for VDC.

For the record, my opinion about VDC products:
- The wax is very pretty and well put together. Vickie is obviously quite talented at making her creations and clearly puts a lot of time into making her products.
- Most scents have a good medium to strong throw. I have hit a few lighter ones and one dud but I have experienced this with pretty much all vendors (except for the dud) which I consider pretty normal. With large items it's more frustrating to deal with a light throw though.
- I knew it would be soft wax but I didn't expect it to be this soft and sticky. It's quite messy to deal with which I find a bit annoying but I guess it's to be expected.

This is the end of the saga, you can decide for yourself what you think about this whole story and if ordering from VDC is the right thing for you.
I hope you enjoyed the read and if you have your own VDC nightmare story you would like to share, don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for reading!

So as you can see from the last entry, I did inform Vickie about all my concerns privately before I posted anything publicly. It's not like she wasn't fully aware that I had experienced a lot of issues with my order and she obviously didn't give a crap about my broken items.
I will let the next message speak for itself, this was this past Thursday, November 29th:
You will soon understand why my tone changes drastically....
Here is the screenshot of her actual response:
I just about popped a gasket when I saw this!!! How this woman can lie continually like she does is beyong mind boggling! Ladies and gentlemen, see the pure unadulterated bullshit Vickie creates.
As you've read all communications so far you have noted there was never any request for pictures, ever. She never disputed the candles arriving broken at any time. And the tidbit about insurance is another little gem, as you can see in the beginning of the transaction, I clearly requested it so why the heck is she bringing this up??!!
But since she claimed she had asked me for pictures, I sent her some!
Hold on to your hats ladies and gentlement, this is good stuff coming up!
Lets break this down shall we?
- Um no, never was requested to send pictures as proof.
- I sent her the last message BEFORE posting my review with pictures that she refers to as trash talking.
- I never sent them because she never asked for the damn pictures lol!!!
- I am the one who has mislead people about my order with her?! Please show me ONE example?
- Still riding that light label excuse till the end I see!
- Thanks for admitting that you filled out that label, you know the one that was dated August 27th that you claimed your daughter mailed out 12 days late? BUSTED!!!!
- You paid 20$ more if that (I paid 62.95$ remember?) and that was your own damn mistake, if you had bothered actually weighing it first you would have known before charging me for it. Also, it was supposed to only be a large flat rate box in the first place! So you got me to buy more than I would have and you didn't even offer to foot some of the bill for the extra shipping costs. You paid more because you screwed up, period. Accept some responsibility for once!
- You tried working with me and did everything I asked? Um, just wow. Your recollection of events is obviously very different than mine. Has it been refreshed now?
- Are you really still claiming I never requested to fill a large flat rate box? Out of this world! Please go back the beginning and see for yourself.
- Of course you didn't... (ya right)
- Um ya I actually did pay for that scoopable that was shattered, I got 3 and paid for 3. Look back to the rundown of my order you gave me.
- I thought you were different too! I was obviously very very wrong, congratulations for duping me!
- I really doubt you're sorry about anything.
At this point Vickie blocks me on Facebook. I guess she doesn't like being confronted with her lies! Shocking!
And yes, there is still more!!!
Stay tuned!

Ok I will fully admit I was an idiot still wanting to go through with the second order at this point. There would have been credit for the broken stuff applied, free loaves, a discount, etc as I had been promised earlier by Vickie as was seen in previous entries. The stuff I received smelled great on cold sniff and I won't take away any merits regarding her wax. Some scents are on the lighter side but I've experienced this with all vendors.
I really have to take that pic, it is a pretty funny sight!
Following this exchange, I received no news from Vickie in quite a while. I had time to think about all that had happened combined and I didn't want to risk another large order with hefty shipping fees with VDC. I had been through enough with my first order and had found other vendors that had fabulous products with great customer service.
She clearly says she understands here.
Notice that she is completely unphased that a good customer who has shown that she likes to spend a lot on wax and is understanding not to mention very patient cancels her second order. Hmmm, you would think that this is the type of customer one would want to keep.
Also, the 300 is a wicked nice ride. I can't wait to get one! lol
At this point, I don't hear from Vickie for 2 weeks. No more chit chat, no asking if everything is okay. Nothing.
I felt so disregarded and ignored that when I saw reviews posted online about people's experiences with her, I couldn't help but add my experiences.
Here is what I posted at the time:
And this is Vickie's reaction to the reviews that were posted including mine:
AND...
So I am the one being mean and dishonest, I am the liar!
Wow....
I wrote her the day after I posted my review.
The response I got from this message?
Nothing of course!
I let some time go by for things to cool off and attempt communication yet again.
Her response to this?
Nothing of course!
It was after this that I posted the reviews with pictures on the Wax Review group on FB.
Believe it or not there is still more, stay tuned for the next installment!

Will I ever get my tracking number??? Lets see!
More excuses! She has time to do a lot of things except dig out my tracking number. Something that takes what, 2 minutes?
As you can see, I am not one to put pressure and I didn't mind the chit chat. Notice the date is August 24th and that just now I mention possibly making a YouTube video of my haul. Indeed, such things are AWESOME for Vickie as you can see by her response.
She can't wait for me to get my package on Monday!!! (This is still August 24th)
August 28th was the Tuesday following the weekend. One would think I should be able to get my tracking number. Like an idiot I'm still stalking my mailman waiting for this big box of wax to show up any moment.
So I write her again on Thursday cause she still has not provided the tracking for my package! I first requested the tracking on August 23rd! We are now a full week and she has not provided it to me yet.
Get ready for some very interesting reading ladies and gentlemen:
Finally my tracking number!!!
What the hell? My package was accepted at the PO on August 27th??? Holy crap, I've been fed a lot of lies recently about my package and it's tracking!
For one week she claimed a myriad of excuses why she didn't provide it, none of them saying she didn't have it. She did but was too busy and forgetful to give it to me. She was also hoping I would get my box on Monday the 27th! She said that while my box had not even shipped out!!!
But but but, remember folks, I'm the big meanie here! Lets see how this develops shall we?!
Lots of very interesting things being said by Vickie again here!
She is still maintaining that she mailed it off in mid August. Remember, she sent her eldest daughter to the PO on August 15th to mail off my package.
Oh wow, shipping was higher the second time around lol! I love how that magically happens! :) It was 58.95 in late July plus insurance fees and now postage alone was 80$ this time around. The USPS must be really messing with her!
This is why I believe she never mailed out my package in July, if she did, she would have reported the higher shipping costs when she shipped it out the first time, no? Especially since it came back to her and needed to be resent, one would think it would have come up in conversation at some point.
Hold on to your seats for this gem folks! drumroll please:
You have got to be shitting me!!! She didn't know she could use the large flat rate boxes! You know, the ones I only asked for from the beginning of our transaction! The one I even gave the cost for and provided a link to the USPS site for.
The nerve of coming back to me with this is really impressive, AND she is offering this because she wants to save me some money! How very sweet...
Ya, awesome games there Vickie, um thanks but really? This is the only you have to say right now???
I finally speak up, see how incredibly mean I am!
I'm such a horrible person....
Wow, still maintaining the lie that it was shipped out in late July (actually August 2nd as per this transcript) even I misremembered that one. It's her story and she's sticking to it!
Funny how nothing broke the first time, did she REMOVE the proper packaging she originally used? That would be odd, no? The way I received them, the glass items that broke could not have survived a short distance since large glass items were packed together seperated only by cello bags and a peice of tissue paper.
I TOLD her in detail about the large flat rate boxes via priority mail FOR Canada! Hello???? And what the hell is this about wrapping it up with brown paper. Has she ever mailed anything via priority mail? Makes no sense whatsoever.
So the shipping fee discrepancy is because she added 3 pounds of free goodies and that's what made the weight of my box magically go up! There were freebies included, but nowhere near 3 pounds worth!
The freebies were:
one 5" pie
10 souffle cups
2 cookies
2 clamshells
Since she had already put freebies in my box when she first sent them out for my patience and all, these were it. She did not add more to increase the weight as she is claiming...
It's sad that she is using her daughter as an excuse for her failings... I find it highly suspect that she would give the money to her daughter to ship off my box. That it would then cost 20$ more and she wouldn't find out about it until over 2 weeks later??? Does she really think people will fall for such stories??
She acknowledges not packing some items properly and offers credit towards my next order. She clearly says she would completely understand if I didn't want my second order.
At least she does admit responsibility for some of the issues that happened.
Tracking info for my package, you can still look it up for yourself on the USPS site.
Stay tuned for part 7 of this saga!
Part 5
The last installment finished with the package being returned to Vickie because the label she printed was too light. In the last messages, she says it had been mailed off by her eldest daughter which pretty much infers it was sent off from a post office. Amazing that the post office accepted the too light label and that the package couldn't make it's way to me but no problem getting back to her.
Thankfully nothing was broken! Ha! How can it break if it never went anywhere?
This could be refuted at ANY time by Vickie if she provides the tracking number for this package. Considering how much it cost, you would think that she would have kept a closer eye on her receipts from the PO for this transaction.
I won't keep you waiting any longer for the next part: Can I have my tracking number please?
I'm sure a few of you are wondering why I would continue with a second order when I had a couple hunches things weren't exactly on the up and up.
I thought she was a FB pal and I wasn't in a big rush. I was still within my 45 day PayPal claim window so I wasn't worried. I figured I was close to getting my first order and she does have great prices for her wax. Add in the free loaves she was offering plus all the extra goodies she said she added in, it was easy to be tempted.
I have a little shopping issue..
Uh oh... This sounds VERY familiar...
Eldest daughter is shipping out my package again. Nothing could possibly go wrong a second time, could it?!
Of course not, I'm just being silly thinking negative things!
Ooooh! Another 20% off my purchases!
Clearly acknoledges she wants to make things right with me, this is before I even receive my first package. Obviously my second pending order surely influenced this decision on her part. The mention of a third order must have sent her to the moon! Who would want to lose a customer who is willing to spend hundreds of dollars on your products? You would think that basic customer service etiquette would be applied if not more, no?
I've had minor issues with other vendors in the past, as you can see here, I don't even name them in private discussions nor have I posted about them in any groups or on any page. I don't like writing bad reviews believe it or not, I only do so in extreme cases. In this discussion I vented a little and considering the attention she was giving me, it was nice to have her at least recognize that I am a very patient and understanding customer. I have never once complained about the delays and was quite flexible in scent choices giving her much leeway to use her creative input.
Trying to be helpful, but hey, according to Vickie I am a big meanie...
First request for tracking number since it's been resent as she claimed. A week has elapsed since so she must have caught up with her daughter by now to get the receipts and tracking number. She is chatty but not even acknowledging my request, hmmm.
So I ask, again...
Ok, she has the tracking number and has even checked on it (August 23rd) saying it showed no movement and yet still does not provide it to me. Hmmmm
The excuses are continuing, this will be interesting!
Oh, and she is suddenly very interested in the fact I was thinking of doing a YT haul video. Hmmm

Part 4
So we're at the part my order will not fit into a large flat priority box as I requested and referenced numerous times in this order process. I've accepted the mistake and was okay with a bigger order since I really thought at the time it was an innocent mistake and honestly, I was really looking forward to getting that wax! Here is the continuation:
As I mentionned before, I am used to ordering big so large amounts don't phase me much. However, I didn't expect it to be quite this high since I didn't expect to pay more than 40ish dollars on shipping.
I also found it quite unprofessional of Vickie to give a total without any type of invoice or break down of said amount.
So I asked for it and got it.
It did add up right for what I ordered but I was dissapointed there was no discount on the shipping difference at the very least for her not choosing the right box after clear requests for what I wanted which she had agreed to.
But I let it go figuring it will finally be shipped out to me! yay!
And as you can see, we remained chatty chatty throughout all this.
Here is where the excuses start with my package being mailed out. Starts out small.
I never ever received any tracking information about the package that was sent out for me.
Very interesting. Still no tracking number though, hmmmm.
I don't hear from Vickie in quite a while as you can see from the dates. She's not wondering if I'm okay anymore :(
Then this...
We finish off this installment with interesting words from Vickie. Of course nothing broke since IT HAD NEVER BEEN SHIPPED OUT TO ME!!! LOL!!!
The second thing that makes me laugh now is her comment on how SHE PACKED IT REALLY WELL!
Considering the 3 items that were smashed when I finally received my order because she apparently thinks that nothing more than cello bags is fine for packaging fragile glass items! Reading this is quite a hoot when I dug up this entire convo!
Stay tuned there is quite a bit more yet to come.
Part 3
Here is the continuation of my dialogue with Vickie. There is some chit chat and talk about my order in this installment but interesting tidbits start coming out as it goes on. She has a super cute little dog and I honestly enjoyed chatting with her.
Aren't I such an awful person??! Giving her honest answers and helping her with tips to avoid getting scammed. I really need help... Uh oh, I just can't help myself!
Wait a second??? She confirmed in a prior message that she HAD a large flat rate box so why is she asking if it's the same size as a regional sized one??? This pretty much tipped me off that she had never checked the dimensions of the large flat rate box and most likely she never checked once to see if my order would actually fit in one...
At this point I felt a bit cornered as I did ask for the things she made for me. I was a bit frustrated that she allowed it to go above the large flat rate box but since we were FB pals and I was looking forward to her wax, it wasn't a big thing for me at the time. I tend to always order big with my wax orders so this wouldn't be out of the ordinary for me, as can be seen by the second large order I placed with Vickie and other past purchases with different vendors.
Later on, a bit of chit chat about dogs, hers is indeed pretty darn cute!
Back to talking about my order, yay!
Why is there still a debate about the large flat rate box??????? I expected it but still... At least she now has it! Yay!
Ugh... What happened to the large flat rate box again??? Here we go...
Bingo! Proof positive she never once checked if my order fit in that box ever before this moment.
At the time I kinda saw it coming and as I mentionned above, it wasn't a big issue because I didn't think she did this on purpose. I thought she just got hyped up as I did about my order and had a hard time saying no and with the slew of orders she was dealing with I figured it was an oversight, albeit a frustrating one.
I'm pissed about it like hell looking back on it because with all the other excuses and lies combined I don't think it was a casual error as I had first assumed.
Vickie as of the moment I am writing this blog entry denies upselling me anything and that I did not request a large flat rate box! o.O!
How she can say this with a straight face is mind boggling!
Stay tuned for the next installment of this saga.
